The news that two Jews, Melvin Cravitz and Adrian Daulby, were killed on our holiest day of the year because they were Jewish was devastating. The image of Rabbi Daniel Walker standing outside his synagogue in a blood-stained kittel, the white robe worn on Yom Kippur to symbolise purity, is seared into my memory.Perhaps the saddest thing is that, despite the shock and horror, I was not surprised....
