Morocco is home to around 2,500 Jews - the largest remaining Jewish community in North Africa - and has long recognised and promoted its Jewish identity. The kingdom officially enshrined its “Hebraic tributary” in its 2011 constitution to legally protect and preserve Jewish presence in Moroccan society.
