Islamist group Hizb ut-Tahrir has been listed as a prohibited hate group following the passage of new laws in the wake of the Bondi terror attack. It's the first listing of its kind for a group under the federal government's new hate laws passed in January. People who are a member of, recruit for, provide training or funds to, or provide material support to Hizb ut-Tahrir will be in breach of the law.
