Bernie Moreno to fast track Senate adoption of legislation he’s introduced to prohibit individuals receiving public assistance from sending money overseas went off track this week when it was blocked by the Senate Finance Committee’s top Democrat, Oregon’s Ron Wyden. The pair engaged in a heated exchange on the Senate floor that touched on immigration, family history and the nature of the social safety net.
