When people opposed to President Donald Trump contend that he received no mandate, they're acknowledging that 1. mandates do exist; 2. but Trump didn't get one; and 3. things would be different if he had. Presumably, their staunch refusal to accept the will of a bare majority of voters would be lessened if the percentage was in the landslide category. In short, they would respect a true mandate as a more legitimate outcome than the slim victory Trump got in the national popular vote. But here in Arkansas, Trump did win by a landslide.
