CLEVELAND, Ohio – Aaron Baer, the director of the controversial, conservative Center for Christian Virtue, didn’t back down Friday when a crowd at the City Club of Cleveland challenged him for his views on religion, rights for gay and transgender people, and abortion. But he didn’t appear to win any converts, either. Baer spoke to a sold-out crowd about his organization and views. Inside the City Club, long known for promoting debate and civil discourse, a question-and-answer portion of the forum featured dicey exchanges. Meanwhile, outside a crowd protested and one person was detained after throwing paint at the building....
