The Hakoah (the name means strength in Hebrew) closed down in 2009. It was situated in Hall Street, just off Campbell Parade, which is the main road lapping the beachfront. It was from a footbridge there that two terrorists mercilessly gunned down Jewish people at a Hanukah celebration this week, murdering 15 and injuring dozens more.
