A former City of Ottawa lawyer is expected to be sentenced today for defacing the National Holocaust Monument in Ottawa last June. Iain Aspenlieder pleaded guilty in July to a charge of mischief to a war memorial in connection with the vandalism. The sentencing hearing is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. at the Ottawa Courthouse. The words “feed me” were painted on the side of the memorial west of downtown Ottawa on June 9.
