Northwestern University has reached a $75 million agreement with the Trump administration, bringing to a close a months-long dispute with the federal government that had involved the administration freezing of nearly $800 million in research funding. According to the university, the deal ends ongoing investigations by the Department of Health and Human Services and the Department of Education into allegations that the university had violated anti-discrimination laws under Title VI of the Civil Rights Act.
