The Issue: MTA’s request for another $4 billion to prevent another “Summer of Hell” on subways. The corruption and incompetence of the people running the MTA is astounding (“MTA wants another $4B to stave off summer subway chaos,” March 20). How much money is lost not enforcing fare-evasion laws? I think if the federal government funds the MTA, then it should come with DOGE-type scrutiny.
