A US judge barred the deportation of Indian researcher Badar Khan Suri on Thursday at a top American university after the Trump administration detained him for alleged links to Palestinian militant group Hamas. The temporary order asking Suri to not be removed from the country was issued by US District Judge Patricia Giles in Alexandria, Virginia. It will remain in effect until further court proceedings, according to news agency Reuters.
