To the Editor: Re “Vance Implores Europe to Accept Extreme Parties” (front page, Feb. 15): At the 2025 Munich Security Conference, you report, “Vice President JD Vance urged European leaders on Friday to end the isolation of far-right parties across the continent, an extraordinary embrace of a once-fringe political movement.” These political parties have a history of pro-Nazi behaviors and antisemitism. In his poisonous matchmaking, Mr. Vance both ignores this history and repudiates America’s profound investment in the struggle against totalitarianism.
