The president of a top US university stepped down Saturday in the wake of massive criticism following a congressional hearing on the rise in anti-Semitism on American campuses, which led to a rapid and intense blowback. Pennsylvania University President Elizabeth Magill “voluntarily tendered her resignation,” the chair of the university’s board of trustees Scott Bok announced.
