The first batch of hostages were freed Friday as part of the temporary truce between Israel and Hamas to release some of the nearly 240 civilians abducted during the Oct 7 terrorist attack. Thirteen Israeli women and children who have been held in captivity for nearly seven weeks were transferred out of Gaza and into the hands of the Red Cross at Egypt’s border crossing.
