A German politician from the far-right Alternative for Germany (AfD) party was arrested for allegedly displaying Nazi symbols, after “Sieg Heil” was heard coming from the headquarters of a fraternity to which he belongs. Daniel Halemba, who was recently elected to the Bavarian state parliament, is being investigated for incitement and the use of symbols of unconstitutional organizations. He is the youngest politician to be elected to the Bavarian parliament and is a member of the Teutonia Prague student fraternity.
