Early voting starts today and Brooklynites in the redrawn Bay Ridge-Coney Island Council District 47 are in the unusual position of choosing between two incumbents, Democrat Justin Brannan and Republican Ari Kagan. Brannan, the musician-turned-politician, is the right choice. Aside from Brannan’s well-earned reputation for bombast, he’s got bite to back up the bark.
