A Ukrainian tank crew died when artillery fragments pierced the thin armour of a French-made light tank, a Ukrainian battalion commander claimed. The 34-year-old, using the call sign Spartanets, told AFP that the armoured combat vehicles delivered by France are “impractical” for use in front-line attacks. He said: “Unfortunately, there was one case when the crew died in the vehicle.
