An Oregon man who pleaded guilty to a hate crime was ordered to write essays about racism and the challenges faced by refugees. Jarl Rockhill, 35 and from Linn, Oregon, was ordered by a judge to write the essays as a part of a plea deal, the Oregonian reported. Rockhill pleaded guilty to a hate crime charge in late November.
