A political advocacy group bankrolled by cosmetics heir Ronald Lauder has unleashed a TV ad slamming Democratic Gov. Kathy Hochul as soft on crime and unwilling to clean up New York’s “disastrous” cashless bail law. Lauder, a conservative who ran for New York City mayor in 1989, just dropped $2.5 million into the independently run SAFE TOGETHER NY group on Sept. 21.
