But in the post-assassination chaos, the conspirators of Operation Valkyrie fail to secure power. Only Martin Bormann, Hitler's personal secretary and President of the NAZI Party, is able to successfully evade scrutiny from both sides and eventually garners the support to expose the plot and consolidate power.
