A federal judge on Monday sentenced a local white supremacist to eight years in prison for illegal firearm possession, telling the man he likely acquired the guns "as part of a racist agenda." The sentence for Stephen Pattison , a convicted no-gun felon, was less than the 10-year maximum sentence prosecutors sought but well above the sentence recommended by federal guidelines. The recommended sentence range, which judges do not have to follow for special reasons, was 46 to 57 months.
