CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Thursday is Holocaust Remembrance Day, or “Yom Hashoah” as it is called in Hebrew. The day of remembrance marks the anniversary of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising. Days of Remembrance in the United States run from the Sunday before to the Sunday after, according to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum.
