(ANSA) - ROME, MAR 4 - A Dutch priest martyred by the Nazis in 1942 is to become a saint on May 15, Pope Francis decided at a consistory Friday. Carmelite priest Tito Brandsma (1881-1942) was killed in Dachau by the SS at the age of 61. He was beatified by Saint Pope John Paul II in 1985 and has now had the requisite two other miracles attributed to him to qualify for canonisation.
