Since 2015, CEU has offered a specialization in Jewish Studies , initiated by Professor Carsten Wilke . In this essay, Wilke highlights the new professional need in the face of growing interest in preserving Jewish heritage. In many European cities and villages, grassroots activists devote themselves to protecting and promoting the heritage of former Jewish communities.
