The district court in Telemark in southern Norway has received an application in which Anders Breivik is asking for early release, “The Independent” reports. He is due to deliver a speech on Tuesday – his defense attorney said it would be a “long speech”. Breivik justifies his request by reiterating that he “no longer poses a threat to society”. The trial will be held in the gymnasium of Skien Prison near Oslo, where the man is currently detained.
