Two men have been charged with having ties to a Proud Boys leader and were among the first to breach the police line outside the US Capitol on January 6, according to federal prosecutors. This Monday, South Dakota’s James Haffner, 53, and Georgia’s Ronald Loehrke, 30, were detained and charged with felony impeding police during a civil disorder. Haffner was also charged with assaulting federal officers after reportedly spraying policemen with an unknown aerosol while they were guarding the Capitol doors. They haven’t pleaded guilty yet.
