A Paris court on Wednesday sentenced a man to life in prison for the murder of 85-year-old Holocaust survivor Mireille Knoll. The Jewish woman was robbed in her apartment in March 2018 and stabbed 11 times, after which her apartment was set on fire. Knoll’s body was partially burned. The court ruled that Knoll’s murder, which shocked France, was committed because of her Jewish background.
