Washington – The US Holocaust Memorial Museum states that it has compiled evidence of increasing government crackdowns on Uighur Muslims in the western part of China’s Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. In a new report released Tuesday, the museum’s genocide prevention center said previously alleged crimes against humanity and crimes against Uighurs are growing in a collaborative campaign to hide their seriousness.
