A federal court judge has sentenced a man who plotted a mass shooting in Owosso but was arrested before he could carry it out to seven years in prison. U.S. District Court Judge Kay Behm said Thursday that Mack Adam Davis’s youth, his mental health issues, his marijuana dependency, the abuse he suffered as a child as well as his “very significant remorse” led to her to impose a lighter sentence than guidelines might have called for.
