Nearly 100 protesters have been arrested at a demonstration in support of Palestine Action in central London. Hundreds gathered in Trafalgar Square for the demo, which the Metropolitan Police said was ‘likely to involve offending rather than a lawful protest’. In a statement they said that as of 2.50pm, 92 people had been arrested on suspicion of supporting a proscribed organisation, but further arrests continue to take place.
