After weeks of public consternation that Abdul El-Sayed would be campaigning with left-wing Twitch streamer Hasan Piker, it was enthusiasm that greeted the Democratic candidate for U.S. Senate when he took the stage at the University of Michigan on Tuesday night. A campus club called Students Supporting Israel postponed the “March Against Extremism” planned for that night “due to extenuating circumstances,” it wrote on its Instagram page. While Michigan State University, where El-Sayed had appeared earlier in the day, released a statement disavowing “antisemitism and discrimination” without actually accusing Piker of either, the University of Michigan made no official statements....
