Six people were arrested Saturday during clashes between far-right demonstrators and counterprotesters near Gracie Mansion, including two men police say threw suspicious devices now being analyzed to determine whether they were improvised explosives, Gothamist reported. NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tisch identified the men as Emir Balat, 18, and Ibrahim Nikk, 19. Preliminary examination and X-ray imaging indicate the football-sized objects appeared to be jars wrapped in black tape containing nuts, bolts and screws, along with a fuse, Tisch said.
