After trawling through flight options I came to the conclusion that it was best to travel from Saturday morning to Sunday evening, to save on the accommodation costs, and to go in early February, when air fares tend to be cheapest. As for where, I was torn between Venice (£34 return) and Wroclaw (£36). Unsurprisingly it was impossible to find high-end accommodation within my budget in Venice, so Wroclaw it was.
