The commission was created by the Legislature and signed into law by Governor Maura Healey in 2024 with a charge to adapt the US National Strategy to Counter Antisemitism, which I was proud to work on while serving in the Biden administration. Public meetings featured testimony from more than 200 individuals, including community leaders, educators, law enforcement officials, and students.
