COLUMBIA – Two months after Columbia’s mayor raised a flag in support of Israel outside City Hall, a fellow councilmember is asking the city to develop an official “flag display policy.” At the council’s last meeting of the year on Dec. 16, at-large councilmember Tyler Bailey asked for the council to refer the “development of a flag display policy for city government property and public facing facilities” to the Administrative Policy Committee, which is chaired by District 3 councilmember Ed McDowell.
