THE report relating to renaming a park dedicated to a former President of Israel is set to be withdrawn, the Lord Mayor of Dublin has said. It comes after Micheal Martin warned earlier today that the move would be “seen as antisemitic”. Herzog Park in Rathgar was named after Chaim Herzog in 1995. Belfast-born Herzog was raised in Dublin and went on to become the sixth President of Israel. His son Isaac is the current President of Israel. Dublin City Council was due to vote tomorrow on a proposal to remove the Herzog name from the park and replace it...
