As newer arrivals to Kootenai County, we are discovering that there are many here who are not as welcoming and tolerant of others’ beliefs and ideals as they espouse we all should be. Specifically, they imply that everyone of Caucasian ethnicity who are Bible believing Christians, conservative socially and fiscally, and historically patriotic, are bigoted, racist, dangerous, extreme, violent, white supremacist militia members. There may well exist in Kootenai County a very small group of folks, misguidedly identifying as Christian, who full well deserve such labels, but THE OVERWHELMING MAJORITY who embrace the above mentioned precepts and principles DO NOT....
