Leon Gautier, the last surviving Frenchman who fought the Nazis on D-Day, died Monday. He was 100. Gautier had been hospitalized with lung problems a few weeks ago, according to Romain Bail, mayor of the town where the veteran lived. He died at a hospital in Caen.
