A man was arrested after he allegedly assaulted a family member and fled, forcing police to clear out a South San Jose neighborhood as they searched for him, according to authorities. San Jose police were called to the scene of an assault involving family members at 9:35 a.m. Tuesday on the 5600 block of Chesbro Avenue, according to tweets from the department.
