White replacement theory (also known as white genocide theory or “the great replacement”) has its roots in antisemitic ideology. Popularized by white separatist neo-Nazi David Lane in the mid-1990s, the theory states that white people are being replaced by minorities and that the perpetrators behind the so-called replacement are Jewish.
