Dozens of members and friends of Aiken's Adath Yeshurun synagogue focused their attention on downtown Aiken on Saturday afternoon for the placement of a new historical marker remembering some of Aiken's most prominent businesses from the past 130 years. Installation coincided with celebration of the synagogue's 100th anniversary – belated by a year, due to COVID-19 concerns – and had the Aiken County Historical Society 's support, as do 65 other markers spread around the county.
