The Council on American-Islamic Relations, the Nation’s most prominent Muslim advocacy group, was the subject of spying by members within its organization. An investigation found two informants were releasing private and sensitive information to the Investigative Project on Terrorism, a D.C.-based organization that some consider an anti-Muslim extremist group.
